Transform your author career
Author alchemy summit
Make friends, learn from industry experts, and together we’ll explore the question:
“How can we connect directly with our readers?”
The Author Alchemy Summit
The entire structure of the Author Alchemy Summit is designed to emphasize both community and education. The goal is for people to walk away with a plethora of new ideas to grow their author business by connecting with readers — as well as with lifelong friends and colleagues.
The summit’s narrow focus (and small size) is extremely deliberate.
If you’ve ever been to one of the big writing conferences, you might have felt overwhelmed.
Whether it was AWP, 20Books, or a more genre-focused conference like World Fantasy or StokerCon, you probably came home feeling inspired — and overwhelmed.
Big conferences really excel at inundating you with knowledge — but they’re less good at helping you apply all this new knowledge to your own path.
The Author Alchemy Summit is…
More of a mastermind than a conference.
Because of the small size, you won’t get lost in the crowd. Attendees at AAS will be able to chat one-on-one with industry experts and other authors to get ideas that are personally relevant.
Events throughout the conference will focus on network building. Social events, genre meetups, catered breakfast and lunch, karaoke — you’ll find plenty of opportunities to connect and make lifelong friends, collaborators, and champions. (Even if you’re an introvert like me!)
A curated course rather than a firehose of information.
There are times to drink from the firehose of information — and there are times when you want a gorgeously curated chef’s menu tailored specifically to your needs.
Because of the singular focus, we’ll all be diving deep on the question of connecting with readers rather than skimming the surface of a hundred topics — and because you won’t have to rush off to hit session after session, the conversations and aha moments can just keep on coming.
An incredible value for the depth of education you’ll get
Most conferences don’t have the time to go in depth on topics — which means I often end up spending $$$ on a speaker’s book, course, or hour of consulting in order to figure out how their knowledge can apply to my specific situation.
Of course, private consulting can run $150+ an hour. Some of those courses are $495+ — almost the cost of a conference ticket itself.
They’re super value-packed, obviously! But the goal of the Author Alchemy Summit is to give you much more valuable information and insight than most conferences have time to deliver.
Plus, the smaller size means that your questions can get answered during the conference itself, and leave with an actionable plan rather than an online cart full of courses.
We can’t wait to see you here!
